Known for the ivy foliage covering the outfield walls, Wrigley Field is one of baseball's oldest parks. Wrigley has served as the home ballpark of the Chicago Cubs since 1916. It was built in 1914 as Weeghman Park for the Chicago Whales. It also served as the home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears from 1921-1970. Fans will often stand outside this storied park on Waveland Avenue, waiting for home run balls hit over the wall and out of the park.
